July Purchases

Hi dolls and kens!

As the title stays, this post will be about my recent purchases. I bought just a few items to review for my YouTube channel but I want to share my purchases and reviews here for you too. I know most of my readers aren’t subscribed to my channel so I am bringing the information to YOU!

All of my purchases except for the Planner, end table, and Makeup Brush kit, were purchased at Walmart and all for under $10. Keep Reading to see exact prices, more information, and my thoughts!

WEIGHT-LOSS/HEALTHY LIFESTYLE JOURNEY

I am changing the look of my weekly progress reports. To see why this started check out my Initial post and This post. To see some of my beautiful group of friends joined in on this health movement, check out Elisabeth and Japhet .

*Disclaimer* I want to state that my mood is not the best right now. I am one person who can feel the mood of something I read from someone, I hope that made sense. Basically, if you write a “happy” post, but your mood was sour and down while you wrote it, I can sense that in the writing. So If you are like me and can sense my mood, well I do apologize but I want to get this post out for my viewers following this.

REFLECTION:

I lost weight and that makes me happy because my eyes are seeing a difference. I don’t know what to expect though. This happens a lot when I am on my weight loss journey. The week wasn’t that productive as far as working out, and I didn’t eat that well but I lost weight…It’s weird. But I’m not complaining.

Chubby Girl Gets Skinny:Hello Lovely week 6

WEIGHT-LOSS/HEALTHY LIFESTYLE JOURNEY

Hello Dolls and Kens! Today I wanted to speak and introduce a personal part of my life with you. I have been speaking with Elisabeth at Everything & Nothing about her wonderful weight loss posts and she inspired me to make and share my own! She has been so sweet and accepted my request to join her and collaborate with her on this journey! Make sure you check her posts out, she’s very inspiring!

To give you some background, I went through an awful experience at the age of 6 and began to eat my fears and stress away. I have been a big girl since then. I have tried many times to workout and eat right but it never went through. My heaviest weight was 230lbs. I am only 5’2 so that is obesity for me. I was devastated hearing that word, I was 15 when I heard it from the doctor and I vowed to get healthier. Well, I haven’t stopped my journey, but I havent had much difference either. I will admit that I have lost some weight. I am currently at 215lbs, which is good, but I am now in my mid 20’s…it shouldn’t have taken me this long to lose that little amount of weight. I am working out daily, starting small as I have an irregular heartbeat (so I can’t put too much stress on my heart).

I will be posting a weekly summary every Sunday of how I did during the week!

Reflection:

This week was hectic. I had a lot to get done (which I did accomplish, yay!) and I was dealing with my business work. My family and I traveled to LA for The Voice Auditions and the trip was…..an experience. I am going to write all about my trip and post it this week! My choices of food weren’t the best this week but I had small portions of everything and I still managed to get walking in every day which reflects in my weight! In my last CGGS post, I was 217,  I am happy to announce that I am back at my starting weight of 215lbs! I was shocked to find that I had still lost weight. I expected to not have lost anything but two pounds make me happy! This is still a huge process and I will have my ups and downs but I am happy to be seeing constant progress within myself and on the scale!

Jack of All Trades

Jack Card

I have a confession to make. I know the intentions I made this blog with, but in all honesty, I just wanted to get my blog out there or I knew I would never get it done. I do not focus on one topic in the world, I am into multiple things so therefore, yes, this blog will feature many different things ( I know, I’m switching up again, the theme will probably change as well to fit the content of the blog). I will definitely still post my bakes and baking related content as well as updates to shaisbakery.com but I will also be posting whatever comes to mind that I feel is quality to post. If you’ve visited my facebook page for my business you will see that the URL is Shai’s Franchise…I named it that for a reason. I don’t just want a bakery. I want a clothing line, I want a restaurant, I want many many other businesses (including my own graphic design business and real estate business) that will be under Shai’s name. It’s the start of my legacy. I don’t know what will work out until I try them but you bet your lucky dollar I will try them all.

A few things I am into (that will be posted on here):

  • Baking
  • Cooking
  • Arts & Craft/ DIY
  • Beauty
  • Fashion
  • Travel
  • Tech (I am a IT major by the way)
  • Luxury
  • Shoes (this probably will be about shoes I just love, I don’t really know yet)
  • and much more.

I know this is a lot, but when did all these different topics on one blog become a bad thing? I follow so many blogs, here and on YouTube and even websites, and most of them are one topic blogs which I admire because they can stick to one topic and fully incorporate themselves in what they love but my favorite blogs are multi-topic blogs.

I am going to do my best to stay up to date on all the things I love and post about them, with quality content of course. I am new to a lot of things (not really, I just never ventured publicly into most of the topics), but as I learn I will post and hopefully help others in my situation to branch out and try their hand at everything their heart desires.

Shai.

Busy Body(quick note)

If you’ve visited Shai’s Bakery blog lately, you would notice I havent been active. Well I’m going on vacation Tuesday and have been preparing for it for a while! Secretly planning a birthday vacation from a nosy little brother takes a lot of work. Ive missed out on some good posts for my blogging101 but I will catch up, even though I believe it will be over when I get back!

I plan to film and document the whole trip as I have lots of goodies planned so I will post about it, pictures, videos, and more when I get back!

P.s, I’m planning to learn how to apply makeup and create a youtube for said creations. I really want to connect with people in the world and I feel that would be a great start. Letting the idea stew for a while (also I’m looking for a better camera).

Happy baking!
