Look of the week.

Remember this post? Well it’s happening again. So I have decided to do something a little different (as usual when this happens) and post a look of the week! I want my beauty page to become more populated so I’m going to spend some more time on making it beautiful and worth while!

Beauties on Fire Collab! Initial Post.

What Beauties on Fire is:

Beauties on Fire is a brand new collaboration with a whole lot of beauties that are fierce, fine, and fired up about all things beauty and fashion. The collaboration is a link up post (which you are free to join in on, if you’d like! Just email Elisabeth: alittlebitofeverythingblogs@gmail.com and let her know you’d like to join) in which all the beauties in this group will post about our picked theme of the week (which will be voted on by all of our subscribers, readers, and viewers)! For example, if our readers voted on the topic of “fire,” beauty bloggers would come up with a look themed from fire and fashion bloggers would do a style themed from fire!

Makeup: Summer Bronze Look

It is currently 111 degrees in Las Vegas. We are supposed to be breaking records this week with our temperature and that is no fun. The air con is on full blast inside the house and it feels like it’s about 20 degrees inside. The mixture from going in and out of the house, the heat and then the cold (and don’t get me started on getting out of the shower in this air) is horrible for my allergies. I’m sniffing and coughing as I type this.

What is good about summer? Makeup. Beautiful girly summer makeup (and honestly so much more but for the sake of this post, we’re going to stick to makeup). Now don’t forget your sunscreen, moisturizer, and water spritzer for the heat! You want to stay protected while glaming it up during the day. My favorite sunscreen is actually a lotion! It’s Spa Body Lotion with SPF 15 by Jerome Moments. It’s on sale right now for only $6.29 so make sure to get a bottle! I actually have three.

My wisdom extraction!

First and foremost I want to say that I am currently writing this on the same day I got my tooth extracted. It is currently one hour after my extraction and I have taken my pain medication and I am still a bit numb.

I think almost everyone that has to get their teeth pulled for any reason gets scared and does months of research of what to expect. Or is that just me? Yes? oh, okay.

Well, yes, I spent months researching dentists and what to expect before, during, and after the procedure. I found some “getting your wisdom teeth removed isn’t really that bad” and some “my HORRIBLE wisdom extraction experience!!!” (the latter scared the life out of me I won’t even lie. I searched high and low for all the “what-ifs” of wisdom removals, asked my mom about her experience until I knew her story like the back of my hand. Once my appointment was scheduled, I searched for other bloggers who’ve had their wisdom teeth removed. I found three that really spoke to me:

These posts helped shape my fear of tooth removal into a deeper depth. Everything that revolved around my tooth being pulled just caused me great anxiety. Reading Claire’s post about her removal…well, I couldn’t finish the entire post once I saw that she needed an IV for her operation. Nope. That wasn’t for me.

KleanColor Lipsticks!! Beauty Value

Hi Dolls and Kens! I just reviewed this product from Kleancolor. I’ve been hearing so much good stuff about these colors so I bought them and tried them out. I have a video for you on my youtube and I reviewed on Amazon.com. ALL THE COLORS IN MY PICTURE ARE $8.95 TOTAL, NOT EACH, BUT TOTAL. That’s such a great deal because let me tell you I don’t have the time to be spending $8.95 on ONE lipstick lol! I will admit I did think the products would be cheap and not worth this but they’re actually very good quality! Not perfect by any means, but better quality than you would expect for the whole set to be $8.95. They smell good too. So let’s get into the review!

You can view my Amazon review here if you don’t want to watch the full 20 minute unboxing and review on youtube (but it would be so awesome if you guys supported my youtube and subscribed to my channel!! )

Happy Blogging beauties!

Very small Target/E.L.F haul

Hey loves! I’m back with another post. Did you miss me? I hope you did.

This post will be about the small haul I got today at Target. I went in the store today with my grandmother, not planning at all to buy anything then as we were walking down the makeup aisles, I see e.l.f products. I bought my first elf products at walmart and they are still doing good to me and since I needed these products but didn’t want to spend a ridiculous amount of money I figured I might as well get this. I haven’t opened them yet as I want to do a video for my very small haul and then review them the same day but I will give you the prices and details.

The e.l.f Shadow Lock Eyelid Primer: 21711 Sheer, $1.00. Preps your eyelids for smoother, long-lasting, crease-proof eyeshadow. The ultra sheer color works to increase eye color longevity.

e.l.f Natural Lash Kit: 1713, $1.00. Enhance your natural lash line with these beautiful faux lashes. They instantly intensify and add depth for a glamorous look(I love glamour so these are perfect me so far!).

e.l.f 3-in-1 Mascara: 81440 Very Black, $3.00. All-in-one professional mascara that helps lengthen, define and volumize lashes. Uniquely shaped silicone brush has precision bristles to coat lashes for a dramatic look. Long lasting formula helps give all-day, smudge-free, budge-free wear(I’ve been looking for a mascara with the little knob at the tip of the brush for my lower lashes since I barely have lashes there at all. I’m really hoping this brush captures my lower lashes and makes them really noticeable).

Last but not least.   e.l.f High Definition Powder: 83333 Soft Luminance, $6.00. The high definition loose powder creates a “soft focus” effect on the skin. Masks fine lines and gives skin a soft luminizing effect to blur imperfections. The incredibly soft powder is great for on camera and everyday wear.

So that’s the scoop. I will do another post when I try these out for a few days or maybe a week and review them.

Happy blogging, stay happy, smile, laugh, be the best you can be.

Makeup review

Hey guys! Today I will be doing a review on the makeup I recently bought. Some I have tried in a full face application and some I have not yet. Before we go any further I want to show you what I bought!

Here is the foundation that I’ve started using.

L’oreal true match : cappuccino n8

This is my first foundation ever but I really like it! After watching YouTube makeup videos for almost a good year and seeing a lot of beauty gurus using this, im pretty confident in my purchase. The color is a little dark going on but it blends out to match my skin tone perfectly! I bought it from Walmart for about $8. The quality is really good. The texture is smooth going on and feels great on my face. It doesn’t cake up at all or make me look dry and ashy. I didn’t use a beauty blender to apply it. I just used my hands and the application turned out really good. The only downside to this I think is how liquid the foundation is, it runs out the bottle quickly and I wasted a bit of it because of that but it’s not an annoying amount. Just be careful when you pour this out onto anything!
The next thing I am going to review is this lipstick.

wet n wild: 503c

I also bought this at Walmart. The lipstick was about $2. Cheap finds but really nice quality. The lipstick is a beautiful pink salmon color to me. I usually don’t wear bright colors but this is really nice on me and it’s surely becoming a favorite! Here is a full face picture of my makeup.

The blush I used is actually lipstick! I used my wet n wild 505A for the blush. I wanted a pink tone as you can see on my face lol

The eyeshadow is from my Hard Candy eye palette Rated X 889.

I used the two pink colors from the palette. For my eyebrows I just used a brown eye liner/lip pencil. I couldn’t find my eyebrow makeup so I worked with what I could find.

I used a little bit of bronzer from Rimmel London.

This is the concealer I used. I don’t remember the exactly price but it was around $5 so it wasn’t too expensive.

I used this for my “finish” but I honestly don’t really like this powder. It makes me feel dry and look ashy so I didn’t use a lot at all. I wouldn’t recommend this. If I could take it back, I would but I lost my receipt. For my mascara I used maybellines The Falsies Volum Express. I love the brush because it’s curved and allows me to get my bottom lashes really well without making a mess on my eyes with the mascara.

Okay you guys, that’s all for now! I have two other makeup products that I have to try out and review but that will be for another post!

Happy days, God bless, love yourself, be a good person, and try to do right with your life.

Instagram for makeup??

Hello beauties and dolls!

Today I have a new app I just found. Well it was sort of recommended, I was watching this lovely girl on youtube and she uses the app. I downloaded it myself as you all know I’m a beginner in makeup and so far I adore the app!

It’s called MakeupSocial and it’s quite literally an instagram for makeup lovers. When first signing up you enter the basics, your email, name, password. Then it takes you to a page where you fill out a form about your skin. Hair color, eye color, skin tone, how oily your skin is or isnt, the texture of your hair, the length of your eyelashes and a few other questions. Then when you are done with that, your Similar to Me feed is filled with women similar to you. I love it! It definitely helps me out when looking for makeup because now I can easily see women of my skin tone and what they use (I can’t begin to tell you how confused I was on how to pick my foundation when I had limited funds and choices! Child, it was a mess and I picked a too light foundation still smh).

They have a website and an app for Apple devices but I don’t yet see one for Android phones. Sorry android ladies! I have to use the app on my iPod because my phone is a galaxy s4 (yes I know it’s old but I’m so undecided on if I want to upgrade to iPhone 6plus or Galaxy s6).

The part I like most about this app, it’s free!! Who doesn’t love free apps that are of great use??

Go check it out and let me know what you think! Also feel free to follow me (lilmisslady1821), I havent posted anything yet but I definitely will get to it asap!

Stay beautiful loves,

Accepting my Puff

I had my first perm/relaxer at around 10 years old if memory serves me correct. I’ve kept relaxers in until I was 21-22. August of 2013 was my last relaxer and now I am completely natural. It has been a complete journey. I’m still learning my hair and how to care for it!

There have been many times that I wanted to go back to the relaxer since it was easier to manage my hair with it in but the reason I stopped relaxing was because my hair has literally not grown in over 10 years. My bangs grow quickly when I cut them, but the rest of my hair? It takes forever. I haven’t big chopped but I’m thinking of doing so this season so that my hair can become fully healthy again. I just clipped my ends (literally less than an inch of hair) this past Monday and I didn’t freak out so I’m going to cut the rest of my bad ends so my hair can grow better and love me more. I’m still learning hairstyles for natural women as well. My go-to is a twist out. I practically live by those.

On good notes, my hair actually has grown in the past month that I’ve done nothing to it. Seriously guys, I was moving, sick, tired and I didn’t do anything to my hair. Nothing. and it grew noticeably. I guess when they say “leave it alone and let it grow” they mean it.

My products that I use are please ignore the background. I’m limited on space.

Not pictured are my shampoo and conditioner which is Pantene for relaxed/natural hair.IMG_2664-2

I’ve been really loving my hair lately and here is a picture of it in its natural state.

image3the length surprised the hell out of me to be honest. I didn’t expect it to be such a difference! This is my hair freshly washed also. No conditioner or any products in it. My hair is died so I think that’s why there seems to be a difference in my curl pattern from root to ends, but I am happy with my puff all around (and yes, this is me with no makeup)!

Happily Natural,
