Do you want to know what one of my favorite foods are?
Hot dogs. Do you wanna know what’s better than hot dogs? Hot dogs and fries. Do you want another secret? Dirt Dogs and Dirt fries are possibly the best thing I’ve had this year. I’m gonna make it really simple for you. Dirt dogs has two locations in Las Vegas, one on the Strip and one on Rainbow. Go visit them, you’ll thank me later.
The meal from this post was comped for social share and awareness purposes. This post, however isn’t sponsored because it was not required, I just really wanted to share this new gem with my readers! 🙂
Did you google them yet? Here, I’ll make it even easier. Dirt Dog . Now that introductions are out of the way, let me tell you about the dirty food they have.
The Hot Dogs
Bacon wrapped 100% premium all beef Nathan’s 5/1 hot dogs smothered with toppings ranging from the house dog, featuring grilled onions, red and green bell peppers made in house made thousand island, ketchup, mustard and mayo plus extra bacon bits; to the Veggie (not vegan) dog featuring a soy based veggie dog, topped with grilled onions and red and green bell peppers; and even a patty melt dog featuring chipotle aioli topped with 3/8” skin on fries, melted cheddar, and bacon bits. All these options come with 3 bun choices: lobster roll, Portuguese, and traditional.
I highly suggest the lobster roll if you are a fan of breads.
Now onto the fries.
Oh my God, the fries. I’m not going to lie. I took a whole serving of fries home because the House Dog had me full and I didn’t want to overstuff myself. However, the fries were just as good if not better and honestly, I wasn’t expecting that. Especially for fries that were saved??? THEY WEREN’T SOGGY AND GROSS. This wins over all other fries just for that reason. The fries are seasoned and come with dirty toppings as well.
Some options you have:
- DUI fries: pastrami, carne aside, cheese, chipotle aioli, cilantro, and bacon crumbles.
- Filthy Fries: guacamole, chipotle aioli, cheddar and cotija cheese
- Elote Fries: corn, lime mayo, chili powder, cotija cheese, cilantro, and bacon
- Garlic fries
- Dirty fries
- Seasalt and pepper fries
If you’re into corn, they even have corn options: dirty Esquite and Dirty corn. At the rainbow location, they had about 3 different types of dirty corn, including one smothered in hot cheetos dust.
For dessert, yes we had dessert, we enjoyed horchata ice cream and a warm cinnamon churro. It topped the lunch (and dinner for me), off perfectly. The day wasn’t scorching hot but it wasn’t cold either so the ice cream can in handy.
My recommendations at Dirt Dog: Try everything. Even if you have to get a group of people to go so you can order everything on the menu and share with each other. Do it. If you want to go by yourself, I suggest the house dog and the Al Pastor fries. I didn’t mention the Al Pastor fries above because I don’t remember what they include and I didn’t want to misinform you, however the Rainbow location does sell them and I HIGHLY suggest them. It’s like a taco on fries. Again, you’ll thank me later.
