Hello!

After not posting here forever, It’s only right that I come back with a Wednesday workday post. First of all, how has life been for you? Good I hope!!

For me, life has been interesting. To say the least. I’m not going into detail because it’s a lot but I will say it hasn’t been all bad!

Some days are way more stressful than others and on top of that, I’ve had little to no motivation for my blog. So, what do I do when I’m in the middle of changing my brand, bored with my current layout and name, excited for the new posts and look of my brand. On top of that, I don’t want to post now when I’ll only have to change it in the coming weeks. What to do, oh what to do?

I figured the best things were to keep my mind focused on other things.

  • I’ve been creating and scheduling Instagram posts to build my engagement and following.
  • University has taken up a lot of my time (and energy) as well. Class 2020!!
  • Many fun events are planned behind the scenes for the month of August,
  • plus three (3) birthdays!!!

Needless to say, I have been a busy bee away from my blog and it’s been helping me to not panic at not having posts or ideas for said blog!

The above is good and all but there are times where we just need to detox the technology and stress from our lives. Here are my favorite things to do when I don’t know what to do.

Write in my journal

Aside from my Happy Planner and my Happiness App Planner, I have a bullet journal to write my feelings into. I am not the best at expressing myself so writing is my best option. It gives me time to really think and gather my thoughts and allows me to erase and say things a different way. Plus, it forces my mind to focus only on writing which distracts me from all the stresses I face everyday. I own the Leuchtturm1971 Journal which I bought on Amazon for about $16 bucks. It’s a lot of money for a journal, but this really brought out my creativity.

Somedays I use it as another planner, somedays I just journal. Most days I decorate it with printables, stickers, and doodles to have fun with journaling. If you’d like me to share a few pages or a flip-through video of my Bullet Journal, let me know and I can definitely do that for you!

Build my relationship with God

Do you struggle to talk to God or struggle in prayer? Yeah, me too. So the best way for me to talk to God and work on my side of our relationship is to write to Him. I do that in my Bullet Journal. On the Bible app, I’ve been following The Gospels plan. Though I haven’t been reading every day, I have been reading the plan and the Bible much more often! It’s a slow build from my side but I’m thankful to know that God is always there for me and willing to forgive me and work with me.

Read

Okay, so I honestly haven’t read much other than blogs and my Korean textbooks in…well, almost a year. Yikes. My kindle is FILLED with books of all kinds and I really need to get back to reading. At least 30 minutes a day, hell I’ll take 30 minutes per week at this point! However, this was a really fantastic way to keep myself busy with positive vibes, learn something new, and keep my mind off of stresses! Get a book and read. Here’s a great site that offers free books on Amazon, Apple, Kobo, B&N, and Google, every day. They even have an email list you can join to get the list of current free books straight to your email! (This isn’t sponsored in any way with BookBub)

You now have a few more options in your arsenal when you aren’t sure what to do.

Blogging can be very stressful and time consuming. Most bloggers won’t tell you this. I’ve only read a handful of blogs that are this honest. Of course, if Blogging is your passion, the hard times and stress are always worth itEven if you aren’t a blogger (yet?!), you can definitely use these three tips to calm yourself and detox from technology and life!

Until next time,

    1. I definitely agree! It’s actually time to get a new journal. I have a few cute notebooks I haven’t used yet so I’m thinking of using one of those! Thanks for reading!

    1. I completely agree on the days you force it to be over!! Glad to know it’s not just me. It’s so helpful to appreciate the good and better days too though, I’m glad you mentioned those! Thanks for reading!
