My hair can be my crown or my worse enemy. I clipped my ends maybe a year ago and I still have the whole frizz and dry scalp problem. Yes, products I’ve tried are helping so I am grateful for that. However, I really think I need a big chop. Start new and fresh. Big chops scare the hell out of me. How much would I have to chop off? What styles would I be able to create? My head is way too round and big for a close shave. I’m just being honest. To help me with caring for my hair and feeding it the nutrients it needs, I have partnered with Maple Holistics and I’m going to share my cedarwood shampoo review with you!
This post is sponsored by Maple Holistic. I received this product free for review purposes. All opinions are my own.

As stated earlier, I’m trying to feed my hair the love and nutrients it needs to mend and give me a head of healthy hair. I also am trying a lot of new products that are more natural in hopes of finding the perfect shampoo.
Before Maple Holistics came to me, I didn’t know anything about them. If you’re like me and are unaware of the brand, here is some background on them.
Maple Holistics has one goal in mind: to provide a natural, holistic range of premium products which can enhance hygiene, health and daily living.
Once I realized their hair products were natural, I was excited to try them. I was first offered to try their tea tree oil shampoo ( which was tempting, I won’t lie) but I knew I wanted something specifically for my dry scalp. Luckily, they had this cedarwood shampoo up for offer.
Side note: working with Hayley from Maple Holistics has been very nice. I haven’t communicated much with her because of the holidays but whenever I had a question or idea, she was very understanding and supportive. Thank you, Hayley!
DOES THE CEDARWOOD SHAMPOO WORK WELL
I’ve used it about 3 times now, you guys know I try to stick to one wash per week. My first impression kind of went down the drain (no pun intended) as I was rushing to get my hair washed and styled before the busy day I had. The second wash, I rushed again but noticed my dandruff didn’t come in until 5 days after my wash, which I enjoyed thoroughly. Third wash, which I just got to the day I finished this post, I actually took time to experience the shampoo.
The formula comes out the bottle in small amounts that allows you to not use too much during your wash. I am a victim of using up one conditioner bottle in two washes because I think my hair needs to be coated in the formula. Maple Holistic’s cedarwood shampoo features a soft woodsy fragrant and it doesn’t sud up a lot. Its fragrance is really soft though so you don’t have to worry if you’re not a fan of cedarwood! Overall, the formula has helped moisturize my scalp and prevent dandruff buildup. I really like this shampoo!
