Hi there! It’s time for another Ipsy reveal! This isn’t technically going to be a review this month as I am saving some of the products for my upcoming trip to Orange County for the Style Con.
If you don’t know about Ipsy, it’s a beauty sample subscription created by Michelle Phan that features 4-5 deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products. If you get the monthly subscription, it’s only $10 per month! You do fill out a beauty profile so your hand-picked items arrive to fit your beauty personality!
Products I received from the Boss Babe bag
Ciate London Mascara in black
The packaging, first, is really cute and it gives me Christmas vibes with the silver and white stars which makes me excited? Yes. I am very ready for Christmas. However, this is one of the products that I am not going to open. I still have 3 good Mascaras I’m already using so I want to finish those out before opening this so it can stay fresh.
Hanalei Papaya Enzyme Powder Cleanser
This is a fun product! It’s just as it says before you use it: powder. Thankfully, I recently saw a youtube video featuring this product and knew it would turn into a soap formula once you add water to the mixture. A quick tip on this, you don’t really need a whole pack. I used a whole pack and it turned out to be too much. But if you want to see the formula and suds, you can use the whole pack. It has an Ivory soap type of smell. I don’t care for it but it’s not an overpowering scent. I’m going to save the other four, five came in this pack, for my trip to Orange County.
Smashbox Cosmetics Photo Finish Radiance Primer
I haven’t opened this one yet either. I have a primer that I’m really happy with so I don’t really need this one yet. I’ll keep it for future use! I hear a lot of great things about Smashbox though so I’m excited to try it when the time is needed. This is a very small sample too. It should definitely last more than at least 10 applications, I’m hoping.
Dirty Little Secret Cosmetics in Nude Beach
I’m not a fan of this. I don’t hate it though. The packaging is very cute and I love the color. The formula of the actual gloss is very tacky though. I haven’t experienced a tacky lip gloss in a while now that I’m getting into higher end glosses and matte lipsticks, and I don’t miss the tackiness. The color is nice, good for the fall season!
Re:p, real elemental practice Bio Fresh Mask with Real Calming Herb
I tried this the day I wrote this blog to see how it works, what it smells like, if I have any complications, and if I even like it. I do actually like it! The smell is extremely minimal to me. I enjoy the formula when I first put it on because it feels cool and thick, like a mask should feel in my opinion. You don’t need a lot of this to cover your whole face! I left it on for about 7 minutes. It dried very smooth and washed off nicely. My face felt smooth once I patted it dry. This formula didn’t dry out my face or give me any problems so far. I’ll be saving the rest for the Style Con too!
Why I love Ipsys September Boss Babe glam bag
Have you seen this months theme? The #bossBabe theme is so me this entire year and though there have been some ups and downs, I’m proud to say it’s been more positive and successful than painful and negative. The articles from Ipsy this month are super inspiring and if you haven’t read them yet I HIGHLY suggest you do so to get a boost of confidence from a group of supportive boss babes like yourself. The pictures for each article has also given me a boost in getting my shit together. How gorgeous is each boss babe in their black outfits and bold statement jewelry/makeup??? Honestly, I love this so much.
