I recently went back to my hometown, in support of my brother’s performance at the Solano County Fair. I hadn’t visited Northern Cali since I left, 14 years ago, and I thought I would hate it. I thought it would be boring and I wouldn’t find any interest in it other than the fair and my brother’s performance.
Northern Cali Photo Diary
I was so wrong. I ended up loving it as it brought all my childhood memories back, which were some of the happiest times of my life, and I got to finally see my grandmother’s gravesite. Unfortunately, my grandmother passed away before I was even thought of so I never had the chance to meet her.
What I really love about California is all the water. Being in the desert for 14 years has made me really really miss water and cold weather. The weather was around 93-100 degrees the time we were out there and it felt so good. I haven’t said 90-degree weather felt good in YEARS. It’s actually weird to even say that. Anyways, here are the pictures I took on our road trip to Northern Cali.
I would have taken more pictures but honestly, the ride down was a good 12 hours instead of the original 8 hours it should have taken us, and the ride back was a good 10 hours long. I was tired. The trip itself turned out really good and it honestly made me miss Vallejo. I won’t be moving back there, but I’ll definitely go back to visit often!
Especially for the Jelly Belly Factory.
If you like these type of posts, I’m currently working on part two of my Cleveland Ohio trip! I haven’t forgotten about it.
