The summer is literally around the corner and I’m finally starting to travel! I’ll be in Ohio until Sunday night and then next week my schedule consists of Juneteenth, a blogger dinner, and a road trip to LA! Talk about busy!!! I know it’s all gonna catch up to me and I’m going to be dead tired but I’m here for the ride of a busy(productive) lifestyle! But that’s what being a lifestyle blogger is all about right? Traveling, favorite beauty products, and sharing all the memories, right?
Well, here are my favorite beauty products I can’t live without.
Amidst all of these happenings, there are a few favorite beauty products I absolutely cannot live without. While packing with TSA regulations I realized not having these products with me was stressing me out so I made sure to buy small 3oz bottles to put my essentials in.
Top 7 Favorite Beauty Products
Equate face moisturizer
My mom got me on this product. I used it in my teen years with daily washing (I used noxema cream) and had pretty much the clearest skin ever. I was blessed. In my twenties, I slowed down using it for whatever reason, I can’t honestly tell you, and I definitely noticed my face was drier and had slightly more problems. Once I started using makeup, my gosh the breakouts and combo skin hit me like a brick. So I started using this again last year and my skin has cleared up so much and it stays moisturized throughout the day. My skin is still combo, with a very oily T-zone but the breakouts and acne have gone away for the most part. I still break out around that time but that’s because of female hormones.
I do moisturize with a sheet mask once a week if the weather has been particularly dry or if I’ve been wearing a lot of makeup. If you want a full skin care/face routine post, let me know in the comments and I’d be glad to make it happen!
EM Cosmetics Eye Pen & Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara
For years I was hearing so much praise on Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara and thought it was overhyped. I didn’t think it would work for me and the price, $24 for full-size, $12 for travel size, just made me turn away even more. I don’t know what possessed me to buy the travel size but I did and now I will join in the hype and praise this. Well, I’ll give it is accolades. It’s not perfect but it does work. My lashes are much longer and prettier with this on. I don’t wear false lashes when using this unless I want an extra dramatic look or if my liner is thicker up top.
EM Cosmetics Eyeliner
EM Cosmetics Illustrative Eyeliner was sent to me with my Ipsy Sideshow Bag. It wasn’t my first time using a liquid liner so I knew how to work this but the brush tip is so fluid, it really makes winged liners easy to create. After using this for a couple months now, the only downside to this is that the brush dries out literally within seconds if you hold it sideways.
Tarte lip paint
Pictured is the full-size product I bought from Sephora, but I was also sent this exact color is a smaller size from Ipsy and I fell in love with it the first time I used it. The color is great for any season, which is great because year-round lipstick, and I love how it looks on me. It’s the perfect shade. It’s a brownish-orange, brownish-red? I’m horrible at describing colors lol but you get the gist.

I’ve been using this for almost a year now, faithfully. There’s a reason it’s in my favorite beauty products lineup.I use it after removing makeup and after washing my face. This doesn’t sting like other toners I have used before and I can wipe this directly on my eyelids, I don’t know if you’re supposed to do that but I do and I’ve yet to have any problems. I seriously cannot go a day without using this. I don’t need a lot either. I take a cotton oval swiper, pour a little of the toner on it and gently wipe my face. It does dry my skin out just a bit so I use this before applying my moisturizer!
Ambi face cream for dark spots
Okay, you know those people who have a product among their favorite beauty products they love so much they swear by it? I don’t like swearing so I’m not going to but I PROMISE this stuff is the BEST dark spot corrector I have tried. I broke out in early 2016 for whatever reason, I was using so many new products on my face, and even some new toothpaste and mouthwash so it could’ve been anything. Anyways, the breakout happened around my chin and top of my neck. I had horrible dark acne spots that turned into dark spots that wouldn’t go away no matter how much I cleaned my face, scrubbed, and let it breathe. My mom finally recommended Ambi Cream to me and I shit you not it worked within a week for me. The spots weren’t completely gone but they were barely visible.
This cream is my life saver because I’m so used to clear skin and who doesn’t want clear skin? I noticed I get like one pimple after taking a break from it but one pimple to clear MULTIPLE DARK SPOTS??? I’ll take that sacrifice. Also, if I use this consistently, I don’t have any problems with at all. I’m now on my second tube. The first tube lasted me about 8 maybe 10 months! The price at Walmart is only about $5 so you really have nothing to lose. TRY THIS CREAM. The picture below is my most recent with clear skin. There are no more dark spots at all on my neck and just a few on my chin, but you can’t even see those unless you really look for them!
