Happy Monday, yall! Before I get into the spoilers, review and my month-in-a-half wait for the Boxy Charm Makeup is Art featuring the crown brush post, I just want to thank you all for visiting Laqing In Creativity during this hiatus of mine! My organic search and views have stayed in the hundreds which honestly shocked me. I am so grateful and thankful to you all!!! Now, let’s hop right into this post because I really miss blogging and I miss you guys!

Boxy Charm is a full-size beauty product subscription box that gives each ‘charmer’ 4-5 full-size products monthly. It is cheaper if you do the annual subscription but I wanted to try it out before spending all that money so I’m on the monthly subscription at $21.
May’s Boxy Charm theme was Makeup Is Art and it featured the beautiful Round Contour Crown Brush. The brush is made by Crown Pro and is retail for $24.99.
I joined Boxy Charm on March 29th, 2017 when I realized they send out all full-size beauty products. You all know me, I like to save money and go with drugstore before I buy the expensive stuff, especially if I haven’t tried it yet or don’t know how to use it. For this reason, I knew Boxy Charm was a great subscription for me. I get to try new brushes (like the crown brush), full lip products, eye shadows, contour & highlight kits, and even liquid highlighters (for the perfect glow)! I didn’t get off of the waitlist until early May, my box arrived maybe 2 weeks later, after being billed. The wait was long but so worth it!

Highlighter & Contour Palette by IBY Beauty
This highlight and contour kit from IBY Beauty is so beautiful. I use this either by itself or on top of my ELF contour kit for extra sculpting. I haven’t used the highlight colors yet but the contour really shows up nicely and is super easy to blend.
These are the colors, they’re actually darker in person than what you see here. Again, I haven’t used the highlights just yet but I’m definitely planning to use them on my next Makeup look.
This is an unedited picture from my iPhone 6s, that relays the actual color better.
I have a time-lapse video of how this works later at the end of this post so make sure to keep reading!
Round Crown Brush by Crown Pro
So I made this the feature of this post for a reason. I’m in love with it. The blending is superb, the ease of use is top-notch, and the bristles are so soft and gentle, I sometimes wonder if it’s even blending. I’ve been wanting to try a round brush for a few months after seeing them explode with popularity on YT and IG so I was stoked when I received this.
In the video at the end of this post, you’ll see how well it blends makeup.
This retails for $24.99
Brow Brush and Convertible Brow kit
The first time I used a brow kit, the colors were way too dark or way too light and I couldn’t blend/mix them for the life of me. So, up until I received this kit and brush, I’ve been using an eyeliner pencil that matched my brows. I am so thankful to have received this because I now can do my brows with a brush that is gentle on my skin, instead of an eyeliner pencil. Thank you Boxy Charm. The kit comes with three colors as shown below and they are great for mixing. My brows are pretty dark so I only use the darkest color but for a look when I want my brows a different shade, this will be fun to use!
If you notice on the palette, there’s a slight space from the entire packaging and the shadow packaging. I thought it opened and there was something under the brow powders but there isn’t. In fact, I have yet to even open it so I don’t think it’s suppose to open. I am a little bothered by that but it’s just my curiosity kicking in high gear.
The brush retails for $14.00 and the Kit retails for $35.00
Liquid Glow by Temptu
If you remember when I reviewed the Marc Jacobs liquid highlight, you remember how much trouble I had with it. Well with the Temptu liquid glow, I had no problems with blending and applying it. I don’t know if it’s because I knew what to expect from my experience with the Coconut Highlighter from Marc Jacobs or if it’s because I’ve had some practice since my first liquid glow, but I enjoyed using this one. The amount that comes out is pretty much the perfect amount, for me. In fact, I have yet to even need to squeeze or force any product out because as soon as the cap comes off, the glow is on the tip waiting to be used. Personally, I love it.
This retails at $29.50
