Having natural hair is a great thing when you take care of it. But I have a major frizz problem that gives my braid-outs, twist-outs and more a dullish look. Recently Influenster introduced me to L’Oreal’s RoseMary Collection. Since then I’ve loved the L’Oreal system. I pretty much ditched my Pantene shampoo and conditioner for the EverPure collection. My first try had a nice result. It smelled like Heaven but didn’t really leave my hair moisturized nor did it help my frizz. So I decided to buy the Frizz Defy collection.

I’ll be upfront and say that this system doesn’t smell anything like the RoseMary collection but it does have a decent smell. I don’t mind that as much as I thought I would because it works. My hair has gone through many products to see what can help my frizz and I’m happy to say that so far, this is the one.

Now, I do have a few problems with my hair such as dry scalp, dandruff, split ends, coarse hair in general, kinks and of course, major frizz problem. I’m pretty sure a cut would solve the frizz and split ends problem but I’m not yet brave enough for that because a lot of hair would have to go and my head is just too big for that. Nope. Not gonna happen willingly.

This was right after I washed and conditioned my hair with the Frizz Defy shampoo and conditioner. I towel dried my hair (that’s probably another problem for my frizz) and took this picture. This was after one use of the collection by the way. There’s still a lot of frizz but trust me, it’s a lot less than it usually is.

Frizz Defy products
Products that help diminish my frizz.

The above picture is what I’m currently using to help get rid of my frizz situation. They all aren’t from the same brand but they work really well together. The L’Oreal Elixir is actually from the Influenster Rosemary Moisture box that I received for free for testing purposes. I didn’t like the elixir when I first used it, it didn’t really do anything for my hair but using it with these products, brings vibrancy and bounce to my hair. It also helps de-tangle my curls which is a life saver.

Frizz defy final thoughts

I love it. The smell isn’t Heavenly but it doesn’t smell bad either. The lather of both shampoo and conditioner are sufficient, though I did have to use way more conditioner with this collection than I did with the Rosemary collection. It does it diminish my frizz. I’ve used it twice so far and my frizz is much less noticeable. The price is about $6 each which is a bit for frugal buyers, especially when I only get about 3 uses of the conditioner. Maybe 4 uses, I’m not out yet but I’m very low. My brother used it recently so there isn’t much left. All in all, I’m definitely going to purchase this again and probably stick to it. I plan to use this product for at least 2 months to really give it a chance to change my hair and diminish as much frizz as possible.
