It’s Valentine’s day and the lovers are preparing to spoil each other with chocolate, jewelry, romance and more. How nice.
If you’re single, you may or may not be annoyed with all the lovey dovey stuff going on right now. Don’t worry, we only have tomorrow and then it’s all over and done. This post is a short quick guide to the single ladies and men out there. How to survive Valentine’s Day 101. Are you ready?
We’re going to jump right into the post. These are last minute plans for spending Valentine’s Day alone (or with friends/family….even your pet).

Watch your favorite action movie
Why action? Well it can be thriller or suspense if you prefer that. I suggest action simply because you’re pretty guaranteed to forget that it’s Valentine’s day. Need some recommendations?
- Avengers: Age of Ultron
- Captain America: Civil War
- Marvel’s The Avengers
- Basically any Marvel movie…I will always recommend these. #MarvelNerd
- Disney movies are great. Always great.
Make yourself food
There’s something quite satisfying about cooking a delicious and aesthetically pleasing dish. Try a savory Ramen Recipe or some cookies. If you’re really feeling up to it, go ahead and try Chocolate Salted Caramel Scones.
Play a game
Honestly, The Sims franchise is so popular for a reason.
The best thing about this game? If you want a Valentine’s Day date….you absolutely can make yourself one in the game. Control everything from what you and your date wear, where you go, what the atmosphere is like and more.
Listen to music.
In my email list I gave my subscribers a playlist of songs for Valentine’s day. That playlist is for the love birds so I’m not going to include it in this post (because this post is for singles…don’t make yourself mad listening to couple music). However, music is still a great way to go.
Music I’m currently really into-
Def. (JB from the KPOP group GOT7)
N’SYNC (um hello? They are one of the best pop groups ever?! They are timeless, okay?)
….honestly I could go on forever so I’m gonna stop here.
Start a new hobby
Learn a language
Learn how to make your own planners
Make your own planner stickers
Make stationary for yourself
Learn about Space
I am currently doing all the above. I’m learning Korean to sharpen my language skills. I have taken Japanese class in 6th grade, Spanish (from 7th grade until graduating high school…..sadly I can’t remember anything), and even French in college. Now I’m learning Korean and it’s super fun!
What are your plans for Valentine’s Day? Are you spending it with a romantic special person? A friend or family member? Your pet? Yourself? For me, I’m going to be working
and play the sims.
