Grocery list and Meal Planning

So if you’ve been following my twitter, you’ll see that I haven’t been able to get anything done this week. But as I was writing my grocery list and planning what meals I want to cook for next month, a thought popped into my head, “share this with your readers!” I think it’s a great idea and it gives some inspiration and ideas to my readers, aka you lovely people! So why not!

I want to first state that I am NOT any type of health expert and that this list is accumulated from this pin, with a few changes made. Most of the dishes and meals however are my own but I’m still not an expert. I just know what I like and am trying to stay healthy!

 

Grocery List: I might add or change things later but this is the basics!

  • Boneless chicken breast
  • Tilapia
  • Cod
  • Salmon
  • Steak strips
  • shrimp
  • tofu
  • Canned tuna
  • Turkey Burgers
  • Canned salmon
  • Scallops
  • Greek yogurt
  • Eggs
  • Cheese (shredded, sliced, crumbled: blue, Parmesan, feta, Mexican blend, mozzarella)
  • quinoa
  • beans (kidney, black, pinto)
  • rice (i love Uncle Ben’s rice, they are cheap, taste amazing and are quick!)
  • whole wheat pasta (I can’t give pasta up, okay? I love it way too much)
  • oatmeal
  • corn and flour tortillas
  • Almonds
  • Peanuts
  • silk milk (almond and vanilla flavored)
  • coconut water (regular and chocolate)
  • croutons
  • spices
  • lemon
  • garlic
  • herbs
  • onions (red, yellow, and white)
  • spinach
  • Brussels sprouts
  • broccoli
  • asparagus
  • tomatoes (on a vine and cherry)
  • lettuce (anything but iceberg)
  • sweet potatoes

  • PEANUT BUTTER (totally forgot to mention that up top and on my list, this is a necessity omg)

  • salad dressing (I really love Balsamic and Oil Vinaigrette)
  • oh and whole wheat bread and maybe some English muffins

 

So far on my Meal Planning list I have

  • Strawberry & chicken summer salad
  • Tofu Cesar Salad
  • “Red” Cobb salad
  • Lemon Salmon Salad
  • Greek Salad
  • The Everything Salad

 

  • Avocado and tuna wrap (I’m thinking of substituting the meat for something else)
  • Turkey burger with sweet potato fries
  • “Crunchy” tilapia (can’t wait to take a picture of this I am so excited!)
  • Grilled Shrimp and Pasta with cherry tomatoes and asparagus.
  • Tofu burrito bowl
  • Soup (probably canned, I don’t know yet)
  • Veggie mix with Grilled Chicken and a sweet potato

 

  • Tofu scramble
  • Banana Peanut Butter Shake
  • Banana Nut Muffins
  • Strawberry and Mango smoothie
  • Oatmeal with fruit and boiled egg
  • Fish sandwich
  • Shrimp wrap
  • skinny corn taco

 

Okay, so that’s it for now! It looks really good and I can’t wait to go shopping. My goal for July is to lose 5 pounds at not gain it back! I also want to meal prep but goodness, sharing a house with 3 other cooks is going to be difficult haha. We will see how it goes! You are absolutely free to share and copy this list if you want to!
